Description and style
The Yzaguirre Rojo Reserva 130 Anniversary is the limited edition launched by Bodegas Yzaguirre to celebrate 130 years of vermouth-making heritage. It has become one of the most highly regarded expressions in the range. 🍸
Built on the same foundation as the Rojo Reserva — with around 80 botanicals macerated according to the house’s secret formula — it adds a second botanical extract designed to enhance and intensify the citrus notes, giving it extra complexity and a more distinctive personality within the collection.
Its ageing is slightly longer: 15 months in oak barrels and casks, compared with 12 months for the standard Rojo Reserva. The result is greater alcoholic density, exceptional clarity and a vermouth with remarkable purity and no cloudiness.
In the glass, it shows a mahogany-red colour with amber highlights. On the nose, it offers notable intensity with aromatic herbs, spices and a fresh citrus touch that lifts the whole profile. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety, with notes of wood, forest herbs, spices and a sweetness that balances beautifully with the bitter finish. 🥂
This special edition was awarded the in the Reserva Vermouth category. A vermouth for collectors and lovers of characterful spirits, with , and a truly memorable finish.
