Zarro Vintage —also known as Especial Taberna— is the most romantic and evocative expression in the range: a vermouth created to awaken nostalgic palates and bring back the taste of vermouth served from the tap in the traditional taverns of old Madrid.
Presented by Bodegas Sanviver in an attractive vintage-designed bottle, it appeals to collectors while reflecting its true spirit: tradition, authenticity, and a straightforward style with no embellishments.
Its production follows the house’s artisanal philosophy: a careful maceration of aromatic herbs and botanicals, using a complex method in which each plant receives the right amount of time —some infused, others macerated longer— to achieve the precise balance of aroma and flavour. It is then aged in American oak barrels, which lend the warm, lightly toasted character so typical of tavern vermouth. 🍷
Highly versatile, it pairs beautifully with all kinds of aperitifs, but it truly shines alongside classic Madrid tapas such as pickles, anchovies, olives, and croquettes.
